Welcome To Magic Carpet Tours

Your memories are our Treasure…

Magic Carpet Tours is a brand born from a deep passion — shaped by a feeling that goes far beyond a business plan. It’s a philosophy that travel should connect you to places, people, and stories in a truly soulful way.

We believe travel is more than movement — it’s connection, storytelling, and moments that stay with you long after the journey ends. Rooted in India’s timeless heritage, we create experiences that invite you to explore the country not just as a destination, but as a living story.

In a world of virtual connections, we believe in genuine human warmth and personal care, the kind that transforms moments into meaningful experiences.

Every journey with us is thoughtfully designed to be personal and meaningful. Our guides are more than experts; they are passionate storytellers who bring history, culture, and tradition to life through the legends and lived experiences of the land.

Our drivers are not just behind the wheel — they are trusted companions and local friends, ensuring your journey is comfortable, safe, and filled with genuine warmth. We welcome you with open hearts, sharing not just our services, but our hospitality and love for this country.

Because we don’t simply plan trips — we help create memories. And your memories are the journeys we treasure most.

Founder’s Story - Our Beginning

Love finds a way—and passion turns the rarest dreams into reality. This is not just a note - this is my truth. This is a story of longing, destiny, and a quiet miracle born from deep, soulful desire.

I’m Jayita – For many years,I have been working with JP Morgan Chase in the USA, managing complex products, deadlines, and teams. While I took pride in my job—yet somewhere beneath the layers of corporate life, my heart was listening to a different calling — a pull toward something older, quieter, and far more personal.

Since childhood, I have been drawn to ancient places. Old forts, abandoned ruins, forgotten corridors, stones that had seen centuries pass. History never felt like the past to me — it felt alive. The Buland Darwaza and the Aravalli Range of ancient India stayed with me for years, etched into my heart, even when I didn’t know why.

In 2018, I visited Fatehpur Sikri for the first time. It was dusk, and the monument was about to close. Somehow, the guide managed to open the gates for a few more minutes. As I stepped inside, I felt something I cannot fully explain — as if the doors had opened only for me. I remember standing there silently, feeling seen, held, and called… even though I did not yet know by what.

Life moved on—as it always does—filled with work, responsibilities, motherhood, and the rhythm of everyday commitments. Yet the call never faded. Over time, I began creating a small bucket list for myself. At the very top was one simple dream: to guide a tour of the Taj Mahal for a day.

When I finally checked that off in 2023, I found myself with a free evening and returned to Fatehpur Sikri. That is when I met Mehraj Ali, the most passionate tour-guide I had ever encountered. Through his words, the stones breathed, the walls spoke, and history came alive. His love for his work moved me deeply. After years in the corporate world, somewhere between his storytelling and the ancient silence a question arose within me: Why am I not doing something I truly love?

In 2024, during another visit — this time as part of a Vrindavan trip — I stayed at the Government Tourist Lodge in Fatehpur Sikri. I spent time with locals, guides, and people who live in tourism every day. Even there, amidst history and calm, corporate life followed me—project disruptions, urgent calls, late-night troubleshooting. Watching me juggle both worlds, someone casually said, “Why don’t you start something in tourism? We would all love to work with you.”

It struck me like lightning. For the first time, I didn’t brush the thought aside.

When I returned, life pulled me back into the corporate rhythm. But then came a phone call — a family friend asking for a reference for a Taj Mahal guide. That evening, I finally listened to my heart. I decided to stop waiting. To register my brand. To build something of my own. To show India the way I see her — through love, respect, and deep storytelling.

And that is how Magic Carpet Tours was born.

For the next six months — until August 2025 — I poured my soul into bringing this dream to reality. Naming it felt natural. I have always loved Arabic fairy tales, magic carpets, and stories that transport you across time. This was my second baby.

But Magic Carpet Tours exist because of the people who walked beside me.

Because of Mehraj Ali’s unwavering dedication - this dream belongs to him more than it belongs to me.

Because of one serendipitous phone call from Wriddhi Chakraborty.

Because of my former manager at JP Morgan, Alex Jarrett, who believed I could do more.

And above all - because of my son, Shoham, who reminded me to be brave and to follow the quiet calling of my heart.

They say when you desire something with your whole heart, the universe conspires to make it happen. I know it does — because I am living that truth

Magic Carpet Tours is my love letter to India. And I invite you to travel with us—Because your memories are our greatest treasure.
